REVIEWS
Lynn Armstrong was a great workshop leader, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She guided through choosing a scene to paint, gave guidance and suggestions for composition and colours. All in all it was an excellent session I look forward to any other workshops she does.

Really encouraging and helpful session, lots of fantastic theory and technical advice that will really help add realism to my drawing. Would recommend to anyone even those who might not think fantasy art is for them as the teaching emphasises how to depict form, dimensional structure and movement

I thought the actual class was very good. Regarding the arrangements, there was some confusion over the venue which left us running between the library on Headrow and the Leeds Library on Commercial Street. In the end we ended up doing the workshop in Starbucks. Despite this the facilitator was unfazed.

My love for drawing began in childhood and has stayed with me ever since 2014it's something I've always been passionate about and never stopped doing. I studied Illustration at university and am now a qualified teacher, currently leading Fantasy Art sessions for adults.

As a proficient artist, I primarily enjoy working with pencil, though I also create digital artwork using Procreate 2014a tool I've taught others to use effectively as well.

I enjoy drawing just about anything, from still life to imaginative fantasy pieces. As long as I'm drawing, I'm content.

I look forward to hopefully seeing you soon and supporting you in building confidence in your drawing abilities.

Title or Location: Losing it
Last week was a tough one for me. I have been building lots of frustration due to my vision issues.I?m usually a really calm person, but one day my son and ex husband were arguing for nothing and I just lost it and screamed for them to stop. They both got startled because that?s something I never do. That was literally a painful scream, one that came from my soul. Spent three days with no voice due to this, that?s when I painted ?Losing it?.

I was inspired to make this piece after meeting a young couple selling their 3d printed models at a market. I already make embellished art pieces and instantly visioned incorporating their works into mine . After contacting Tom and Faye they designed the octopus specifically for me to use in my work .

Title or Location: Finding Peace
The location is Budleigh Salterton, Devon, UK.Combination of three different images: the sea, the boat, and the pebbles. The pebbles on the beach typically look uniformly grey. However, for this painting and a series of similar ones, I've exaggerated the colour saturation of the pebbles and super-imposed as the foreground for contrast against the background and middle-ground. "Finding Peace" for those struggling with mental illness impacting their lives.

Title or Location: Bird
I made this for a lovely friends daughter who had to move from her flat in Edinburgh as the landlord was selling up . It didn?t really give her long to get something else especially in Edinburgh so she moved out the city to a house she could afford . She has a disabled son who she shares the responsibility of looking after with her ex partner. So she had to really start again , so I said I would make her a welcome sign with birds on it as she?s also a DJ in Edinburgh who goes by the name of Bird

I was interested in challenging my hand at painting a subject with fine detail. I wanted to capture the strength and resilience I saw in this image. I also wanted to combine my love of nature with my love of artistic expression.
