REVIEWS
I thought the actual class was very good. Regarding the arrangements, there was some confusion over the venue which left us running between the library on Headrow and the Leeds Library on Commercial Street. In the end we ended up doing the workshop in Starbucks. Despite this the facilitator was unfazed.

A pen and ink drawing of Rotherham Minster. The Minster Church of All Saints or Rotherham Minster is the Anglican minster church of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. The Minster is a prominent example of Perpendicular Gothic architecture and various architectural historians have rated it highly. Nikolaus Pevsner describes it as "one of the largest and stateliest churches in Yorkshire", Simon Jenkins states it is "the best work in the county", and Alec Clifton-Taylor calls it the "glory of Rot

Title or Location: The Counting House Drawing, Pontefract West Yorkshire
This drawing of the Elizabethan building in Pontefract West Yorkshire accommodated one of the first chemist to discover sweet liquorice by adding sugar to a tincture. This sweet was the birth of Pontefract cakes! The building was used as a public house and closed around a decade ago. It's recently been sympathetically refurbished and captured in graphite pencil on rough watercolour paper. It's well worth a visit to see it in its glory.

After splitting up with my partner, I moved to my little house in Bradford. It was a very difficult time for me, and I felt very lonely. I had never lived alone before, and I needed someone to be close to me, someone I could care about. I thought a cat would be the best companion. I brought an angelic little kitten home, and now I see how lonely he is when I am not around. I've been drawing this Sphynx, hoping that this cat would be a nice companion for my little angel, and I hope they will be h

This is Lucy, one of our favorite family dogs. She is the sweetest pooch and loves to ride in the car, windows opened. She is in her glory as her ears catch the wind and almost smiles. I tried to capture her wonderful nature in this watercolor painting. I used very heavy pigment to give detail to her fur. I so love the many styles watercolor allows you to create. It is one of my favorite paintings because, I Love Lucy:)

Title or Location: Adventure Awaits
This scene is from an early morning boat ride in New Hampshire - we had been here a couple of times over the last few years. It was so quiet and the water so still . The early morning fog had not lifted and people were still not stirring. I snapped a photo when I saw this scene with the colorful leaves framing the waiting boats. I knew I would paint this one day. It?s a 24 x 30 gallery wrapped oil painting. It can be seen at the Elizabethan Gallery.
